EMF RADIATION SPECIALIST
Azul Fernandez is an electrical engineer based in Northern Italy and is the director of Humankind Wellbeing Engineering, a venture dedicated to creating healthier living spaces by mitigating man-made electromagnetic fields (EMF). Since 2019, she has been a pioneer in domestic shielding solutions, opening the first shielded showroom in the country. Azul is a recognised authority in Italy with extensive practical experience, participating as a key speaker in public national conferences with other well-known Italian scientists and researchers.
While growing up and completing her studies in Australia, she felt a strong desire to serve humanity and confront environmental challenges. During her Electrical and Sustainable Energy Engineering degree at the prestigious University of Adelaide, she received academic assurance that EMF was harmless, yet she couldn’t ignore the mounting scientific evidence hinting at potential health risks.

After graduation, Azul gained years of invaluable experience in electrical project design at a renowned international engineering consulting company. Still, she felt a dissonance between industry design guidelines and her belief in prioritising humankind’s wellbeing. For instance, she wondered why installing a switchboard behind someone’s bedroom or a medium-voltage substation beside some-one’s office was accepted.
This dissonance prompted Azul to embark on a non-return educational journey from Australia to Europe, where she immersed her-self in geobiology and building biology professional courses across France, Switzerland, Austria, and Germany.
